Jonas Mekas is a filmmaker, poet and critic of Lithuanian origin, a classic of experimental cinema and “the godfather of the American avant-garde,” who founded the New York Filmmakers’ Cinematheque. He passed away in January 2019 at the age of 96. This is the last filmed interview of Jonas Mekas given three months before his death. This is a last gift from Jonas to us.
