Director
He began his career as assistant director of Luis Buñuel in THE EXTERMINATING ANGEL (1962). His father, Alfredo Ripstein, Jr. produced his first film, a western written by Gabriel García Márquez titled TIME TO DIE (1965). He is considered the best Mexican director alive, with over 60 films to his credit and over 40 awards won throughout his directorial career.
